Among these players, 6 players play forward in each team, 3 players play defense in each team and 1 player defends the goal on each side. On the other hand, in an ice hockey, there are 6 players in each team and among these six players, five players play in the field where the 1 player on each side is the goalkeeper who defends the goal post. The rule of this game is to maneuver a ball or puck into the goal post of the opponent team.

When there is a hockey match going on in a field, the teams are playing for winning the match. It means that when it’s important for the teams to win the match, it is necessary to record the points of each team so that at the end of the game, the points of each team can be calculated in order to decide which team has higher points. The team that will have higher points will also have higher score and will be the winner of the hockey match. The document that is used to enter or record the scores made by both teams during a hockey match is known as the hockey score sheet.

Useful Tips For Creating a Hockey Score Sheet:

As we have discussed above that there are three basic ways to score or win a goal in a hockey match and this includes the regular field goal, penalty stroke and penalty corner. The field goal can only be considered when the ball was touched by the players of either team inside the half circle in front of the goal post of the opponent team. This semi or half circle is known as the D in hockey. The penalty corner is awarded to the offensive team when the defensive team makes a mistake or foal within the D or outside the D in the playing area.

In the same manner, when a player of the defensive team commits a foal that directly stops the ball from going in the goal post, the offensive team is awarded with penalty stroke. In this stroke, there is one player from the offensive team who will hit the ball. Only one player from the defensive team will try stopping the ball from going in the goal post. As a score keeper, you will record these goals as scores in favor of both teams when either the offensive or defensive scores a goal. Other than just including the points, you also need to enter various statistics about the match during the play
